[Gelöst]Navision Hotfix Rollup einspielen

Hallo Community,

ich hoffe ihr könnte mir bei meinem Problem weiterhelfen. Ich bin nämlich schön langsam am verzweifeln hier... ;)
Meine Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 Umgebung:

Die Navision Datenbanken und die Navision Server Komponente laufen alle auf dem gleichen Server. Der Navision Client wurde auf vier RDS AppServer installiert, von welchen die Benutzer aus zugreifen können. Da ich mehrere Navision Datenbanken habe, leite ich anhand eines Config Files die Benutzer auf die entsprechenden, von ihnen ausgewählten, Datenbanken weiter. Alle Server haben als Betriebssystem Windows Server 2012 R2 installiert.

Nun zu meinem Problem:
Aktuell fahren wir Navision mit der Build Version 38053. Da wir das Problem haben, dass Navision manchmal die Angewohnheit hat, nach dem öffnen einzufrieren und dies laut Aussage von Microsoft im Cumulative Update 15 behoben werden sollte, wollte ich das Update einspielen. Ich habe mich für das neues Update 22 entschieden.

Da ich noch nie ein Update von Navision gemacht habe, wollte ich erst Anhand eines Clients das Update prüfen. Ich habe also den Navision Client auf einem RDS AppServer deinstalliert und das Setup der neuen Version ausgeführt. Am Schluss der Installation brachte mir Navision aber folgende Meldung:
"The installation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV has completed with warnings or errors."
Hier habe ich die Möglichkeit, auf "View Report" zu klicken. Hier steht dann folgendes:

Das von mir vorher angegeben Programmverzeichnis ist auch leer. Ich vermute, er möchte die "ROTAccess.dll" Datei registrieren, obwohl diese nicht vorhanden ist. Ich habe mir mit dem ProcMon den Installationsprozess angesehen und festgestellt, dass die Dateien erstellt wurden, im Anschluss aber nicht mehr im Verzeichnis vorhanden sind.

Dieses Problem habe ich aber nur, wenn ich auf dem Server die Remote Desktop Services installiert habe. Sowohl auf meinem PC als auch auf einem anderen Server, welcher keine RDS Rolle installiert hat funktioniert die Installation ohne Probleme.

Könnte ihr mir hierbei helfen? Für mehr Informationen bitte einfach Nachfragen!

1. In the client folder, register the following DLLs:
NSObjectXProxy.dll
ROTAccess.dll
2. Open a command prompt, go to the client folder, and do the following:
Type 'regsvr32 NSObjectXProxy.dll' and press enter.
Type 'regsvr32 ROTAccess.dll' and press enter.

Warum nutzt ihr eigentlich noch RDS? Spätestens seit 2013 R2 is der RTC doch so WAN-fähig, das RDS die Nummer ausbremst und mit Druckertreiberproblemen aufläuft.

die beiden Dateien lassen sich aus meinem Installationsordner ohne Probleme registrieren. Im Programmverzeichnis kann ich nichts registrieren, weil die Dateien ja nicht mehr vorhanden sind nach der Installation.
Leider hatte das aber keinen Erfolg. Ich komme immer zur selben Fehlermeldung am Schluss wie schon oben beschrieben.

Wir nutzen RDS deswegen, weil wir Navision in vielen Standorten nutzen, welche nicht von uns betreut werden. Somit bleibt die Verwaltung auf unseren Servern und ich hätte rein theoretisch ein leichteres Vorgehen bei den Updates. So muss ich immer wieder die externe IT kontaktieren, damit diese das Update machen.

Nun das war nur ein log von mehreren (C:\Users\ADMINI~1.ARN\AppData\Local\Temp\setup.wix.msi.1-5.log). Schau da nochmal nach. Hast du alle Prerequisites installiert? Da er ein vollständiges Roll-back ausführt sind natürlich auch die Dateien verschwunden. Du kannst aber auch den vollständigen Pfad des RTC auf die lokale Festplatte speichern und als Admin die Installation von dort aus ausführen.
Eine Neuinstallation ist generell garnicht notwendig, denn es reicht, die Upgrade Inhalte direkt in die Installation zu kopieren. Und was das Thema "viele Standorte" angeht, so solltest du dich vielleicht mal mit ClickOnce auseinandersetzen. Wir betreiben NAV für unere Kunden ausschließlich mit Fremdumgebungen. Jedes Update können wir so zentral steueren und lokal wird dies beim Start aktualisiert. Terminal Server ist 10x komplizierter und deutlich teurer.

Normal habe ich alles Installiert. Wenn ich mir die ganzen Features ansehe und die installierten Programme, welche auf diesem Server sind, sollte alles passen.

In einem Logfile sagt er mir aber trotzdem folgendes:

Dies kann ich aber nicht ganz nachvollziehen...

Wenn ich im Installationsverzeichnis den Ordner "RoleTailoredClient" öffne und hier die "Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailord Client.msi" ausführe, sagt er mir ebenfalls, dass "Visual C++ Redistributable" nicht auf dem Server installiert ist.
Alle Komponenten sind aber definitiv auf den Server installiert. Navision läuft ja bereits in einer älteren Build Version auf dem Server...

nun zumindest .net 4.5 & 3.5 als auch VS Tools sind nachvollziehbar, da er keine Registry Einträge findet und sie ja installiert. Beim VCPP scheint er den Schlüssel zu finden, scheinabr aber nicht die richtige Version. Wenn ich mir einen unserer Entwicklungsserver so anschaue ist das auch kein Wunder (siehe Anlage). Ich würde die nochmals von der DVD anstoßen und schauen ob er die bereits hat oder nicht.

P.S. was genau stand in dem Log C:\Users\ADMINI~1.ARN\AppData\Local\Temp\setup.wix.msi.5.log ?

wenn ich im Ordner "Prerequisite Components" auf der DVD die "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012" ausführe bzw. installieren möchte, sagt er mir, dass diese bereits installiert sind. Ich kann sie dann nur noch reparieren. Aber auch dies hat keinen Erfolg gebracht.

Gibt es denn eine Doku, wie ich normalerweise ein Navision Update durchführen kann? Du hast vorher schon gesagt, das man eigentlich nur Dateien austauschen muss. Welche wären das?

Das sind die Dateien in den Hotfixordnern (RTC,NST,BPA usw.). Die werden bis NAV 2013 R2 noch separat bei den Updates mitgeliefert.

Welche das sonst noch sind, kann man auch hier am Anfang des Skripts für NAV 2015-Updates jeweils am Zielenende erkennen. Dort werden die nicht mehr mitgeliefert (spart ca. 200 MB im Download) und müssen mit diesem Skript erzeugt werden.

danke für diese Info. Ich habe zum Testen einfach mal von meiner Navision DVD diesen Ordner "\NAV.7.1.42221.W1.DVD\RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\RoleTailored Client" in mein Programmverzeichnis Ordner von Navision kopiert (D:\Programme\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\RoleTailored Client\). Wenn ich nun den Client starte, zeigt er mir an, dass der Navision Server eine andere Version hat als der Client. Diese Meldung wäre ok. Aber er zeigt mir nun keine Client Version an. Die im Programmpfad enthaltene .exe hat aber die richtige Version (siehe Anhang).

Du hast keine ausreichende Berechtigung, um die Dateianhänge dieses Beitrags anzusehen.

Das ist keine gute Idee, weil du damit auch Konfigurationsdateien überschreibst. Bitte nur den Inhalt aus den Update-Ordnern in die Programmverzeichnisse kopieren.

Könnte dein Problem evtl. auch mit zentral verwalteten Programmen zusammenhängen. Ich weiß von Citrix- Umgebungen, die nur über ein zentrales Image (Konfigurations VM) geänderte Programme übernehmen.

Das sind die obigen Hotfixordner, die bei Microsoft "Hotfix Directories" heißen. Nur die Inhalte aus diesen werden ausgetauscht, d.h. mit diesen werden dann die Zielordner im System gesucht (die haben dort ggf. andere Namen):
Inhalt NST 64-Bit Programme > Microsoft Dynamics NAV > 71 > Service
Inhalt RTC 32-Bit Programme (x86) > Microsoft Dynamics NAV >71 > RoleTailored Client
usw.
und in dem jeweiligen Ordner die Dateien bzw. dort enthaltene Unterordner komplett überschreiben.

├───OUTLOOK (Outlook Integration)
├───RTC (RoleTailoredClient)
├───WEB CLIENT (WebClient)

Reduzieren wir das ganze mal auf das wesentliche (sofern verwendet)

Den Inhalt der o.g. Verzeichnisse musst du passend auf deine/n Rechner/n verteilen, damit es funktioniert. (falls du nicht weißt wo, nach Dateien suchen. Bei Outlook u.U. sinnvoll)

Das mit dem zentralen Image könnte ein Thema sein. Ich würde an deiner Stelle die relevante VCPP Version von der Maschine deinstallieren, ein RegTool drüber laufen lassen (z.B. CCleaner) und dann als Admin aus dem Prerequisites Ordner neu installieren.

Teilweise etwas überholt bei den verfügbaren Lokalisierungen, da gibt es mittlerweile mehr.

Zusammenfassend nochmals zu sagen:
Wir haben bei uns nur das Navision Service Tier und das Navision Client Tier. Ich kopiere alle Daten vom Hotfix Ordner "NST" in den "\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\Service" und vom Hotfix Ordner "RTC" in den "\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\RoleTailored Client" Ordner. Danach sollte das Update "fertig" sein...
